Her denial was issued on Saturday in a statement shared via her Instagram story, where she described the circulating claims as false and misleading.
Emmanson explained that she has not yet taken any legal action regarding the matter but assured that whenever she decides to do so, the public would hear directly from her.
She further clarified that her lawyer is Adam Atakpa of Kipparise Attorneys and urged the public to ignore the reports.
Her statement read:
“My attention has been drawn to a fake report alleging that I have filed a ₦500 billion lawsuit against the Federal Government, NCAA, and others. This claim is entirely false. I have not taken any such legal action.
If and when I decide to pursue such a case (which may happen soon), I will personally make the announcement through my official page.
For the record, my lawyer is Adam Atakpa of Kipparise Attorneys. I urge everyone to disregard this fake news and not be misled.”
Her clarification comes in the wake of a separate lawsuit filed by public interest lawyer, Ayodele Ademiluyi, at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Ademiluyi is seeking ₦500 billion in damages against the Federal Government, NCAA, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Ibom Air, ValueJet, and other stakeholders. The suit is tied to recent aviation controversies involving airline passengers, including Emmanson and popular Fuji musician KWAM 1.
