In a statement released via its official social media pages on Tuesday, NAF confirmed that applications are open across multiple professional fields for the DSSC 34/2025 intake.

The force emphasized that the application process is completely free of charge and will run from Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The statement read:

Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Nigerian Air Force reported a major breakthrough in Katsina State after an airstrike on the hideout of notorious bandit leader Muhammadu Fulani led to the rescue of no fewer than 62 kidnapped victims.

The strike, carried out Saturday evening near the Katsina–Zamfara border in Jigawa Sawai, Danmusa LGA, forced the bandits to flee in disarray, creating an opportunity for hostages to escape.

According to the Katsina State Commissioner for Internal Security, Nasir Mu’azu, the victims—many abducted during the August 11 night raid on Sayaya village in Matazu LGA—used the chaos of the assault to scatter and regain freedom.

Authorities confirmed that the freed captives are now safe, while a quick-response Air Force unit has been deployed to Matazu and Bakori LGAs to prevent fresh attacks in the area.
