This development comes after Natasha had earlier claimed that the house was a gift from her grandfather to her and her husband, which led many to assume that the couple owned the property.

Recent reports, however, indicate that the Idibias are actually renting the property. Court documents suggest that the landlord, dissatisfied with the arrangement, has approached the court seeking approval to evict the couple over alleged rent arrears.

The documents reportedly state:

“Our client facilitated the process for you to rent the 5-bedroom semi-detached duplex with a boys’ quarters at No. 27 Edwin Clerk Crescent, Guzape, Abuja FCT. After securing possession for two years by paying ₦40,000,000 upfront, with an agreement to pay an additional ₦40,000,000 by the end of December 2025 as full rent, you have failed to pay our client his professional fees of ₦7,000,000.

After repeated demands, you issued a dud cheque, which was returned unpaid. We find it difficult to understand why someone of your stature would withhold payment for services rendered, especially as our client’s firm has employees who depend on these fees.

We hereby demand payment of ₦7,000,000 within seven (7) days. Failure to comply will result in legal action to recover the fees.”

The case highlights the growing controversy over the couple’s claim to the property and the legal obligations involved in their tenancy.
