The Delta State Police Command has apprehended a fraudster who uses hypnotism to rob victims of their belongings.
In a video circulating online, the suspect, during interrogation, described how he posed as a stranger seeking directions and then hypnotized a young lady. He admitted that he and an accomplice successfully hypnotized the woman, withdrew N124,000 from her bank account, and instructed her to fetch her aunt’s gold jewelry.
Sharing the video of the interrogation, SP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesperson, wrote: “Have you ever encountered individuals who feign being lost and seeking directions? They proceed to engage in dubious acts, and before you know it, they persuade you to hand over all your money and possessions, leaving you only to realize what happened after they vanish. Well, we have apprehended one such individual. Please listen to how they operate.
