“ECWA as a denomination wishes to clarify that we do not support or endorse the planned protest, and we urge our members to completely disregard it and refrain from participating,” Rev. Kassim stated.

He highlighted the potential dangers of protests in Nigeria, citing incidents during the EndSARS protests where violence escalated, resulting in significant loss of lives and property due to the infiltration of hoodlums.

Given the volatile nature of protests that could be exploited by troublemakers, the statement emphasized the importance for ECWA members to avoid involvement in protests across the country.
