Tinubu Engages In Confidential Discussions With APC Governors
President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in a closed-door session with members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at the State House in Abuja. The delegation, led by PGF Chairman and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, includes Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State, who also serves as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF). Other notable attendees spotted at the venue include reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu, Bassey Otu of Cross River, Benue State Governor Fr Hycinth Alia, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, among others.
In addition to the governors, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Finance Wale Edun, and Minister of Budget & Economic Planning Abubakar Bagudu were observed entering the President’s office.
This meeting follows a previous gathering of the NGF on Wednesday evening and the cancellation of the scheduled National Economic Council (NEC) meeting slated for Thursday afternoon.
