The circular was distributed to journalists and disseminated to all Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Chief Registrars, Registrars, and staff of the Anambra State Judiciary. It stated, “Following discussions between the Governor of Anambra State and the Executives of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Anambra State Branch on July 24 regarding the Consolidated Judiciary Salary Structure (CONJUS), a specific allowance for judiciary workers, we hereby suspend our indefinite strike.

“The governor committed to forming a committee to address the CONJUS issue post-implementation of the New Minimum Wage in the State.

“Following extensive deliberations and considerations during the emergency congress meeting held on July 25, 2024, at the Judiciary Headquarters, High Court of Justice, Awka, the congress resolved to suspend the ongoing indefinite strike by the Branch.

“In line with this decision, all staff of the Anambra State Judiciary are instructed to resume work tomorrow, Friday, July 26, 2024.”
