Open Letter to President Tinubu: Call for Action on Governor Obaseki’s Management Failures ....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In an urgent open letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, Director of the APC New Media Directorate and a member of the Edo APC 2024 Gubernatorial Campaign Council, has urged the President to address what he describes as severe mismanagement and deceit by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

The letter highlights that despite Edo State receiving a substantial N10 billion grant from a recent N570 billion allocation intended for livelihood support, Governor Obaseki has failed to account for the funds transparently. Omo-Ikirodah accuses Obaseki of misappropriating resources, including the 20 trailers of rice allocated by the federal government and 30,000 bags of rice donated by Dangote. The Governor’s alleged misallocation of over N4 billion to a park in Edo North and more than N1.5 billion to a non-existent Gelegele Sea Port project are cited as further evidence of his mismanagement.

Prioritizing The Welfare Of The Poor: A Path to Inclusive Governance

The letter also points to escalating unrest in Edo State, where citizens have reportedly attacked PDP members’ homes in search of palliatives meant for the most vulnerable. This, according to Omo-Ikirodah, is indicative of Obaseki’s failure to effectively manage resources and his tendency to mislead the public.

Four Reasons Why APC Leaders Across Esan Are Rooting For Prince Odi Okojie For Senate

Omo-Ikirodah calls on President Tinubu to take decisive action by suspending all benefits and allocations to Edo State that are funneled through Obaseki. He advocates for these resources to be redirected directly to the citizens, emphasizing that Obaseki has demonstrated unworthiness of their trust through consistent misuse of office for personal and political gain.

The letter concludes with a plea for swift action to prioritize the welfare of Edo State’s residents, underscoring the urgency and seriousness of the situation
