Oshinowo undertook this initiative to address the declining interest in education among young Nigerians and to support struggling parents during challenging economic times. Speaking through his deputy, Folake Kayode, at the council secretariat on Wednesday, he emphasized the critical role of education in national development.

Kayode, who also serves as the supervisor for education in the council, expressed, “It is with great pride and joy that I announce a new initiative from our administration. As your council chairman, I am pleased to provide free GCE forms to all indigenes of our community. Education is the foundation of progress, and we recognize the financial difficulties many of our residents face. This initiative is designed to ease that burden and empower our youth to reach their full potential.”

She added that this gesture aims to “increase access to education for all and enhance the academic performance and confidence of students within the LCDA.”

Oshinowo urged the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity and to represent the council positively. He also called on parents and the community to support their children both morally and spiritually, stating, “A well-trained child ensures a secure future for us all.”
