In a social media post, Adepemi described how they had taken a bus to Oshodi to pick up fabrics for their final year graduation party. The bus ignited right before the bridge, leading to a chaotic scene where passengers had to jump out of the burning vehicle and others helped pull them to safety.
“God did this!!! We still can’t believe we’re alive,” she wrote.
She detailed that, as part of the final year committee, they had boarded the bus at Oshodi to also explore Lagos for their party preparations. The fire erupted just before the bridge, and their escape was almost miraculous.
Adepemi shared that despite the frightening ordeal, they are grateful and see it as a testament to God’s protection. She recorded a video of the incident, driven by an urge she can’t fully explain, to document and share their miraculous survival.
She concluded by reflecting on their experience as a powerful reminder of divine intervention and faith, emphasizing that their survival is a testament to God’s grace and that their scars symbolize their numerous testimonies.
