Gbajabiamila, accompanied by Permanent Secretary Olufunso Adebiyi, Senior Special Assistant to the President Mrs. Oyinade Nathan-Marsh, and other key aides, was briefed by NEITI’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Ogbonnaya Orji. The tour demonstrated the sophisticated technological systems crucial to NEITI’s mission.

In his address, Gbajabiamila praised NEITI for its “steadfast commitment to fostering transparency in the extractive sector” and ensuring that Nigeria’s resources benefit all citizens. He assured continued federal financial support, saying, “The federal government is dedicated to providing the necessary funding and resources to sustain NEITI’s impactful work.”

Gbajabiamila also promised to “mobilize both political and social support for NEITI’s initiatives,” aiming to enhance governance in the extractive sector.

Dr. Orji expressed gratitude for the visit and ongoing government support, noting that NEITI’s success relies significantly on governmental backing. He expressed hope that the visit would further strengthen the collaboration between NEITI and the federal government.
