During a visit to the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) House in Abuja on Tuesday, Chief of Staff to the President, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to transparency in Nigeria’s extractive industries. Gbajabiamila, accompanied by Permanent Secretary Olufunso Adebiyi, Senior Special Assistant to the President Mrs. Oyinade Nathan-Marsh, and other key aides, was briefed by NEITI’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Ogbonnaya Orji. The tour demonstrated the sophisticated technological systems crucial to NEITI’s mission.

In his address, Gbajabiamila praised NEITI for its “steadfast commitment to fostering transparency in the extractive sector” and ensuring that Nigeria’s resources benefit all citizens. He assured continued federal financial support, saying, “The federal government is dedicated to providing the necessary funding and resources to sustain NEITI’s impactful work.”
