Onabajo explained that his decision stemmed from a strong desire to revitalize the area, address pressing issues, and foster development. He expressed concern over the long-standing neglect of Ifo Local Government, highlighting its lack of basic amenities and infrastructure.

Onabajo committed to restoring neglected infrastructure, including roads, schools, hospitals, and markets, to high standards. He emphasized the importance of security, vowing to work with relevant agencies to reduce crime and enhance community policing.
