The Elulu of Mopa and Chairman of the Mopamuro Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Muyiwa Ibeun, has expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, for the successful restoration of power supply in Mopamuro Local Government Area, Kogi State. In a letter of appreciation released on Sunday, the traditional ruler highlighted the significance of the power restoration. He recalled that before his appointment as the Elulu of Mopa by Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, he had met with Mr. Adelabu to discuss the critical issue of restoring and maintaining electricity in Mopamuro.

“I commend the Minister for keeping his promise and ensuring that power was restored to Mopamuro in less than three months after my appointment and coronation,” he stated.

He also acknowledged the crucial roles played by Hon. Leke Abejide and Hon. Salman Idris, representatives of the Yagba and Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituencies, respectively, in ensuring that the 132/33KV transmission station at Okebukun near Kabba received the necessary attention. This effort has led to significant improvements in electricity supply, with consumers nationwide reporting longer and more reliable power availability.

The traditional ruler further noted that ongoing efforts to repair, reinstall, and install new electricity facilities are reconnecting previously dark areas to the national grid.

He also expressed gratitude to the Kabba Area Manager of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and his team for their dedication, which played a crucial role in reconnecting Mopamuro to the power grid.

Finally, the Elulu of Mopa extended his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its bold initiatives to enhance Nigeria’s development. He called on all Nigerians to support the government and its agencies in delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda for the nation’s benefit.
