Portable Complains: Peter Obi Gave Us Nothing, Tinubu Would Have Been Different

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has voiced his frustration with the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following a brief encounter between the two. A viral social media video shows Obi and Portable meeting in Benin City, Edo State, where they exchanged greetings.

Following the meeting, Portable took to social media to express his disappointment, revealing that Obi did not offer him any support. He remarked that if it had been President Bola Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor would have given him money.

In the video, Portable said, “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”

In another update, Portable shared details about his recent encounter with Afrobeats star Davido in the United States. Portable claimed he canceled a $6,000 show to meet Davido in June, only to be disappointed when Davido did not deliver on a promised feature.

During an interview with Echo Room, Portable explained, “I was in the United States when Davido called me, wanting to link up. I canceled a $6,000 show to meet him. I even canceled another show in his presence because he promised me a feature but ended up wasting my time. If you want to help me, help me, and don’t stress me.”

The fallout from this encounter has led to Davido unfollowing Portable on social media amid their ongoing public feud.
