A Nigerian man has faced intense criticism online after his high-speed race in Lagos ended with a crash involving a car valued at over N100 million.
On Sunday, the driver, who goes by the handle #trammania on social media, sought financial help via social media to repair his wrecked 2022 Corvette Stingray. The incident took place at Eko Atlantic, where he was racing the Corvette against a Jeep.
A viral video on X shows the Corvette colliding with a Dodge Challenger that was unexpectedly in the middle of the road. The impact caused significant damage, ripping off the Dodge’s bumper before the Corvette crashed further down the road.
Fortunately, the driver survived the crash, but the incident has drawn widespread online backlash, with many criticizing his decision to seek public assistance after such a costly accident.
