President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed on Friday that his purpose as Nigeria’s leader is not for personal enrichment or the accumulation of wealth. Speaking during a meeting with the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of the National Assembly at Aso Rock Villa, Tinubu made it clear that his role is to serve and work for the benefit of Nigeria and its citizens.
The president highlighted that despite ongoing challenges, his administration is firmly focused on delivering impactful results. His priorities include improving the nation’s infrastructure, ensuring food and energy security, enhancing the education system, and promoting long-term economic stability.
The Forum of Former Presiding Officers, led by former Senate President Ken Nnamani, included 15 other members, such as former Senate Presidents, Speakers of the House of Representatives, and Deputy Senate Presidents. They convened to engage with President Tinubu on the nation’s current affairs and the administration’s future plans.
