Viral Video: Prof. Rhoda Gumus Of INEC Vows To Reject Any Bribe, Regardless Of Amount, in Edo Polls
The INEC National Commissioner for Edo, Prof. Rhoda Gumus, has asserted that she will not accept any bribe to alter the outcomes of the state governorship election.
In an interview on Channels TV, Gumus expressed confidence that no one would dare to approach her with an offer, citing her strong reputation.
She stated, “I am responsible for Edo, and I intend to do the right thing, even if I can’t be everywhere. We will ensure this election is conducted fairly and credibly. I won’t take bribes, regardless of the amount; I don’t need billions to do what is right.
“People know about my integrity in this office, and they will not come near me. If I encounter any attempts at bribery, I will not allow it. Since the process began, I have been actively monitoring it daily, checking in every few minutes to ensure everything is running smoothly and to correct any issues that arise.”
