He acknowledged that many might view his choice as surprising, saying, “I know some of you may call me delusional or even crazy, but I’m neither. I’m just a man full of conviction.” As the CEO of XCITE Capital, a private equity firm, Oni emphasized his belief that Nigerians deserve access to world-class healthcare.

To further this mission, he launched DOC Medical Nigeria, a facility aimed at delivering high-quality musculoskeletal care. “Part of my effort is to provide access to care so that people do not have to travel to receive high-quality orthopaedic surgery,” he explained.

Oni noted that his return is already yielding positive results, with patients coming from as nearby as Ghana and as far as the UK for treatment. He proudly mentioned that many individuals who would have otherwise gone abroad for surgery can now receive top-tier orthopaedic care within Nigeria.

In the caption of his Instagram video, Oni highlighted recent achievements since opening DOC Medical Nigeria, including performing a series of surgeries and conducting free medical clinics in collaboration with other organizations. He also noted his consultations with patients outside Nigeria.
