### Marriage and Family
Patience was married to Umo Eno, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for over 37 years. Together, they raised six children and were blessed with nine grandchildren. Known for her nurturing nature, Patience was a pillar of support in her family, embodying love and care that extended into the wider community.

### Humanitarian Work and Community Engagement
Deeply committed to helping the less fortunate, Patience founded the **Golden Initiative For All (GIFA)**, a foundation dedicated to humanitarian causes. GIFA focused on providing shelter, food, and educational resources to vulnerable populations, especially within Akwa Ibom. Through her foundation, she made significant strides in poverty alleviation and supporting marginalized communities.

In September 2024, Patience hosted the fifth edition of the **ARISE Initiative for the Elderly**, where she provided stipends of ₦50,000 each and free medical care to 600 senior citizens from all 31 Local Government Areas in Akwa Ibom. This act reflected her lifelong dedication to serving those in need.

### Public Recognition
Patience Eno was widely regarded as “**Eka Iberedem Akwa Ibom**,” meaning “Mother and Strong Pillar of Akwa Ibom.” Her deep involvement in community development earned her respect and admiration. Her selfless efforts significantly impacted numerous lives, and she was seen as a beacon of hope.

### Career and Ventures
Beyond her humanitarian work, Patience played a key role in managing the **Royalty Hotel**, which offered accommodation, catering, and other services. This venture contributed to the local economy and created employment opportunities for many.

### Legacy and Passing
In September 2024, at the age of 57, Patience Eno passed away after a brief illness, leaving the community in shock. Her death was a great loss to Akwa Ibom, as she was revered for her unwavering commitment to service. According to Ini Emembong, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, her passing marked a significant blow to the state.
