The governor made this announcement on Saturday during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign for the Ondo Central Senatorial District in Ondo City, ahead of the upcoming off-cycle governorship election.

Addressing a large crowd of supporters, Aiyedatiwa urged them to translate their backing into votes for the APC to ensure the continuity of development projects across the state. “On November 16, I encourage everyone to turn your support into votes for the APC, to ensure the continuation of our progress in the state. From the reports and personal interactions, I can see that the people want this administration to continue beyond 2024.”

He also expressed his appreciation for the support shown by the people, emphasizing that voting for continuity would bring more benefits from democracy. “We have initiated several significant projects, including those started by the late governor. In agriculture, we have made considerable progress in boosting food production, and we’ve allocated over a billion naira for land clearing and launched rural road construction projects to enhance productivity for farmers in rural areas,” Aiyedatiwa added.
