Legal Team Raises Concerns As DSS Blocks All Visitor Access For Nnamdi KanuThe legal team representing Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has raised urgent concerns about his welfare, reporting that the Department of State Services (DSS) has completely isolated him from all visitors, including his legal counsel.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu’s special lawyer, issued a statement on Monday highlighting that this isolation contravenes existing court orders. He noted that the DSS denied the legal team access during a routine visit to their client in Abuja.

Ejimakor pointed out that since Kanu’s last court appearance on September 24, where he requested the recusal of Justice Binta Nyako from his case, the DSS has barred any visitors from seeing him. He emphasized, “Today (October 14, 2024), in clear violation of court orders, the DSS blocked us from seeing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.”

He further expressed concerns that the DSS’s actions seem directly related to Kanu’s successful recusal of Justice Nyako, which was later vacated by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.
