“With a heavy heart, I, on behalf of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, extend our heartfelt condolences on the painful loss of General Taoreed Lagbaja. His passing is a great loss to Nigeria, and we join the nation in mourning this courageous and selfless leader,” Yilwatda stated.
The Minister noted that under Lagbaja’s command, the Nigerian Army became a steadfast ally in advancing the humanitarian goals of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He recognized Lagbaja’s invaluable role in their shared mission and mourned the gap his absence has left in the country.
