A source close to the governor-elect confirmed to Naija News that, “Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Edo State Governor-Elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo will unveil Paddy Iyamu as his Chief of Staff.”

Dr. Paddy Iyamu is a well-established professional, with expertise in human resources management, security, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin, and a professional diploma in Safety and Security Management from Rivers State University of Science and Technology. Additionally, he earned an Honorary Doctorate in Petroleum Resources from the European American University.

Meanwhile, Okpebholo’s inauguration ceremony, set to take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, is expected to be a grand event, drawing dignitaries, party supporters, and other distinguished guests. The stadium is being prepared to host a high-profile ceremony in honor of the new governor.

Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) are expected to attend, alongside Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who will lead members of the Senate to mark the occasion.
