Kano Governor Yusuf Announces New Appointments, Reassigns Key OfficialsGovernor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has announced several key appointments and reassignments within his administration, effective immediately. Among the newly appointed officials are Dr. Ibrahim Musa, a respected public health expert and hematologist, who will serve as Special Adviser on Health Services and the Governor’s Personal Physician. Notable Kannywood star Sani Musa Danja has been appointed Special Adviser on Youth and Sports.

Other new appointments include Dr. Hadiza Lawan Ahmad as Special Adviser on Investment and Public-Private Partnership, and Barr. Aminu Hussain as Special Adviser on Justice and Constitutional Matters.

Additional appointments include:

•Dr. Ismail Lawan Suleiman as Special Adviser on Population

•Nasiru Isa Jarma as Special Adviser on NGOs

•Hon. Wada Ibrahim Daho as Permanent Commissioner I at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)

•Hon. Ado Danjummai Wudil as Executive Secretary of the Guidance and Counselling Board

•Dr. Binta Abubakar as Executive Secretary of the Agency for Mass Education

•Hon. Abubakar Ahmad Bichi as Director General of the Cottage and Street Hawking Agency

The governor also appointed Hon. Abdullahi Yaryasa as a member of the Assembly Service Commission, and Dr. Yusuf Ya’u Gambo as Executive Chairman of the Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination body.

In addition to these new appointments, Governor Yusuf announced several reassigned political officeholders, including:

•Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna as Executive Secretary of the State Scholarship Board

•Hon. Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB)

•Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Library Board

•Dr. Abubakar Musa Yakubu as Medical Director of the Government House Clinic

•Yusuf Jibrin Oyoyo as Special Adviser on Students’ Matters

•Hon. Isa Musa Kumurya as Special Adviser on Marshals

•Hajia Fatima Abubakar Amneef as Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilization

•Comrade Nura Iro Ma’aji as Special Adviser on Employment

These appointments and reassignments are part of Governor Yusuf’s efforts to strengthen governance and streamline the administration in Kano State.
