The boy was brutally murdered despite his parents paying N150,000 as part of a ransom demand. His lifeless body was found in a sack near his family home on Friday.
Tasi’u’s uncle, Aliyu Muhammad, shared with reporters on Tuesday that the boy was abducted on Monday, December 16, right in front of his family house. He was reportedly lured away by unidentified individuals.
Five days after the kidnapping, the abductors contacted the family, initially demanding N50,000 for feeding expenses and a ransom of N1 million. After negotiations, they agreed to accept N300,000, with N150,000 paid via bank transfer.
Muhammad recounted, “After making the payment, we were devastated to receive a call from a woman the next day, informing us that our child had been killed and left near our home. Upon examining his body, we found he had been strangled, with blood visible from his nose and mouth.”
Authorities have reportedly arrested two suspects in connection with the heartbreaking incident.
