Nigerian Lawyer Explains Why Sleeping In Different Rooms Could Destroy Your Marriage

Published

Nigerian lawyer Stella has warned that married couples sleeping in separate rooms can encourage cheating, as well as prolong disagreements and foster malice.

Stop sleeping in different rooms if you’re married. It promotes infidelity,” she wrote on Friday.

She expressed sympathy for couples who choose to sleep apart in the name of needing “space,” saying, “You’re missing out.”

Stella highlighted that one of the downsides of separate rooms is that it prolongs conflicts. When disagreements arise, having separate rooms can make it harder to reconcile, as one partner may retreat to their room, preventing resolution. In contrast, sharing a room, where physical closeness can help ease tension, is more conducive to making up. “Stop this habit,” she urged.
