Mahmoud Explains The Cause Behind Abuja Bombing
The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mariya Mahmoud, has urged residents of Abuja not to succumb to fear following recent bomb explosions.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The explosions occurred on Monday at Tsangagyar Sani Uthman Islamiyya School in Abuja, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to two others.
During her visit to the scene of the bomb blast at Kuchikuyi community in Bwari Area Council on Wednesday, Mahmoud assured residents of the government’s commitment to their safety and security.
“Our sympathy goes out to those affected, and we urge you to remain calm and continue with your daily activities,” she said.
Mahmoud highlighted that the authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of all residents and disclosed that investigations are ongoing with enhanced security measures already implemented to prevent future incidents.
The Minister advised residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
“Heightened security measures have been put in place to avoid further incidents. Let us stay vigilant but not fearful. Stay informed through verified sources, cooperate with security agencies, and support one another as a community,” she added.
During her visit, Mahmoud was accompanied by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu; Commander of Guards Brigade, Brig. Gen. A.O Onasanya; and FCT Sector Commander of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Olusola Odumosu.
