Political Resurgence: Shehu Sani Confident OF Senate Return In 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain made this declaration on Sunday, March 30, 2025, during his Eid-el-Fitr message at his residence in Kaduna. He also emphasized his commitment to supporting Governor Uba Sani’s re-election in 2027, expressing confidence in the party’s readiness to tackle any challenges that may arise.

Sani stated, “Any politician contesting an election will base their decision on the political equation that determines the position to be contested. If the conditions are right and the equations are favorable, I will present myself as a candidate, specifically for the central senatorial district.

“If the people of Kaduna Central desire our style of leadership and representation at the National Assembly, you should expect my return to the Senate in 2027.

“For now, our focus is on ensuring Governor Uba Sani’s re-election. We will put in all our efforts and strength to achieve this, knowing that challenges and opposition may arise, but we are prepared for all possible forces.”

Addressing the recent killing of hunters in Edo State, Sani condemned the act and urged security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.

He added, “If citizens of this country cannot move freely from one part to another, it questions our unity as a nation. When individuals take the law into their own hands for any reason, it indicates a lack of governance or authority.”
