The remarks came on Monday following Obi’s appearance on Arise Television, where the former Anambra State governor discussed some of the Tinubu government’s policies. Obi supported the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of Nigeria’s foreign exchange rates but claimed he would have executed both reforms in a more “organized manner.”

Reacting via his official account, Bwala wrote:

“Is anybody watching @PeterObi on Arise TV? He agreed with our policies on subsidy removal and FX unification, yet claimed he would have done them better in an ‘organized manner.’

When asked to explain what that meant, he dodged and danced around the question—ultimately agreeing with us without offering any distinct alternative.”

Bwala concluded that Obi and his allies were driven more by ambition than substance:

“Anyone thinking clearly can see these guys are only desperate to seize power. They have no viable alternatives. Obi shows limited grasp of economic and governance issues.
