Expelling Wike Will Break PDP!” – Insider Reveals Sh*cking Party Secret
Sources within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) say the party is currently disoriented and demoralised as it struggles to resolve its prolonged internal crisis. According to a party insider who spoke with Daily Sun, the leadership is hesitant to take disciplinary action against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, due to fears of potential retaliation.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The source noted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) appears intent on weakening opposition parties and making them dysfunctional.
“If we expel Wike from the PDP, we are the ones who will bear the consequences. Can’t you see what the minister is doing to us? He could seal off our offices or revoke our certificate of occupancy over something as minor as ₦7 million. This kind of intimidation is part of what’s demoralising us,” the insider said.
They further accused the APC of orchestrating a broader scheme to destabilise the opposition.
“It’s obvious the APC doesn’t want opposition parties to thrive. Look at the Labour Party—they’re split into three factions. The same thing is happening in the New Nigeria Peoples Party. It’s a pattern.”
Responding to public pressure over Wike’s continued presence in the party, another insider added:
“People keep asking why we haven’t expelled Wike. But is it that simple when he controls the FCT? If we remove him, we won’t even be able to hold meetings in Abuja. If we try to gather at Legacy House, he could have us thrown out.”
Despite these hurdles, the PDP leadership is reportedly optimistic that the crisis can be resolved at the upcoming national convention in August, scheduled to hold in Kano. A National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting is also planned for June 30 as part of efforts to set the stage for party reforms.
“Our best option is to go ahead with the August convention. Once new leaders are elected, Wike’s influence will be neutralised. That’s our strategy—and we believe it will succeed,” the source concluded.
