In a recent interview with VJ Adams, Ruger shared that he didn’t spend a dime from the money, opting instead to donate the entire amount. He noted that within a year of that gesture, he began earning millions from his music career.

“The first money I made from music was ₦500,000. I gave it all to the church. I didn’t touch any of it,” he said. “Then came ₦1 million. I felt like I had arrived and went shopping. In no time, I started making millions.”

Ruger also admitted that financial success has brought changes to his life and mindset.

“Money definitely changed me. It changes everyone. Once you start earning more, your approach to life, how you handle things—everything shifts. When people have money, they don’t stress as much,” he explained.

He added that he aspires to reach a level of success where nothing fazes him—just like global rap mogul Jay-Z.

“Jay-Z doesn’t even react when people insult him. That’s the kind of calm I want—when you know you’re winning regardless. That’s my goal.”
