The two superstars became the subject of a popularity survey after a Twitter user, @Imoteda, stated that it is strange for people to believe that football players are “crazily popular.”
The Twitter user also insinuated that Beyonce is more popular than football players. She tweeted;
“SO MANY PEOPLE THINK FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE CRAZY POPULAR. IT’S SO WEIRD. LIKE HOW CAN YOU SAY A FOOTBALL PLAYER IS MORE POPULAR THAN BEYONCE? THEN NAME TWO FOOTBALL PLAYERS THAN EVEN I WOULDN’T RECOGNIZE. LOL”
Many football enthusiasts were interested in the tweet. Many people disputed the assertion, but one Twitter user created a poll asking the question, “Who is more popular: Chioma Jesus or Beyonce?”
Chioma Jesus defeated Beyonce in the poll with 77,864 votes, or 85.7% of the total.
