“President Muhammadu Buhari was a towering icon in Nigeria’s democratic and governance history. This moment of national loss must be observed with the dignity it deserves. As such, we have resolved to delay the unveiling of the Edoline buses in his honour,” the governor stated.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, the people and government of Katsina State, and all Nigerians mourning the former leader.

Calling the loss “profound,” Okpebholo emphasized the need for unity and reflection across the nation.

While acknowledging the disruption caused by the postponement, the governor assured stakeholders, guests, and the public that a new date for the commissioning would be announced soon.
