Mamman Daura Details Buhari’s Death In London Hospital
In an interview with ThisDay, Daura recounted his final interactions with Buhari at the London Clinic, where the 82-year-old was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to Daura, he spent the evening of Saturday with the late president, who was cheerful and optimistic about returning to Nigeria later in the week.
“We talked and laughed together on Saturday. He was in high spirits at the clinic where he was admitted,” Daura recalled.
He added that Buhari had even begun making plans for his return, including ensuring hotel bills for his entourage in London were settled.
“He was preparing to head back to Nigeria after his discharge and wanted to make sure all hotel bills for those in London on his behalf were taken care of,” Daura explained.
Daura said he left the clinic around 9 p.m. Saturday, intending to return the next afternoon. However, he received devastating news the following day.
“I left him around 9 p.m. Saturday. He was looking forward to his doctor’s visit on Sunday morning. But by midday, he began experiencing breathing difficulties. Doctors responded immediately, but sadly, he passed away around 4:30 p.m.,” he said.
