Kogi Varsity Scandal: Lecturer Dies In Hotel Room While Having S3x With Student Video

A senior lecturer at Kogi State University, Anyigba, Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, has been confirmed dead after reportedly collapsing during a sexual encounter with a 22-year-old female student at a hotel.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and was reported to the Anyigba Police Division the following day.

Dr. Ibikunle, who was a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, had checked into the hotel with the student identified as Gloria Samuel, a 200-level Social Studies Education student. Sources indicate that he collapsed during the encounter, allegedly after consuming multiple energy drinks.

The student reportedly ran to the hotel reception to seek help, prompting the manager to alert authorities. The police arrived promptly and rushed Dr. Ibikunle to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by a medical professional on duty.

The Kogi State Police Command has taken over the investigation. The student was arrested and later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further questioning.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, an autopsy has been conducted, though the results are yet to be disclosed. He stated, “The girl in question has been transferred from the Anyigba Police Division to the State CID for further investigation and possible prosecution. An autopsy has been carried out, but I’m not certain if the results are available yet.”

Dr. Ibikunle, who was married with children, was widely regarded on campus as a strict academic.
