Speaking in an interview on News Central TV, Olarewaju explained that while Atiku cannot contest as Vice President again, having already served two terms in that office, a potential Atiku-Obi ticket could be a formidable force against the APC.

He emphasized that both leaders share similar political ideals within the ADC coalition, noting that their combined support base could significantly alter the political landscape.

“That is a possibility—an Atiku-Obi ticket,” Olarewaju stated. “The only thing we can rule out is what is constitutionally impossible, like Atiku running as Vice President again. He has already served eight years in that position.

“What I mean is that Atiku, Obi, and other patriotic Nigerians are on the same page. It’s not just about ambition but about patriotism. If sacrifices must be made to unite and pull forces together, then they must forge a clear political arrangement that Nigerians can see.”

Olarewaju further recalled that in the last presidential election, Atiku secured 6.98 million votes while Obi garnered 6.1 million, stressing that combining such numbers would be a decisive step toward unseating the APC government.
