The record-breaking feat, held in Lagos, produced thousands of kilograms of the iconic dish. In a post on its official handle on Monday, GWR announced:

“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

Hilda Baci first gained international attention in May 2023 when she set the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon, cooking non-stop for 93 hours and 11 minutes.

In related entertainment news, Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, spoke out against the ongoing trend of comparing celebrity weddings.
