The announcement was made at an event organized by the Lagos State Kick Against Drug and Substance Abuse Agency (LASKADA), where the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, officially presented her with the role.

According to Ogunlende, Mandy Kiss’s vast online influence positions her as a powerful voice to help spread awareness on the dangers of drug abuse across the state. He further emphasized the need for public collaboration, stating that the government cannot fight substance abuse alone.

Her appointment follows widespread controversy earlier this month, when Mandy Kiss trended for announcing—via a viral social media post—that she intended to attempt a Guinness World Record by engaging in sexual activity with 100 men in one day. The claim was heavily criticized, with the Guinness World Records clarifying that such a category does not exist. Mandy later admitted the statement was a joke.

Despite the controversy, the Lagos State government expressed optimism that Mandy Kiss will leverage her platform to positively influence youths and support the campaign against drug and substance abuse.

While her exact responsibilities remain unspecified, LASKADA continues to spearhead efforts in public education, policy guidance, and community engagement to curb the menace of drug misuse in Lagos State.
