Her decision stirred public reactions, with many surprised to see her adopt her husband’s name.

In an interview with the BBC, Temi explained that marriage naturally influenced her choice.

“I’m now a married woman; the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name. But it’s my personal decision, and I also respect every woman’s right to choose,” she said.

The actress added that she preferred to keep her relationship private until she was ready to share:
“Moving in silence allows you to build the story you want and share it when and how you’re ready.”

Meanwhile, her sister, popular DJ Florence Otedola (DJ Cuppy), described marriage as the strongest partnership anyone can enter.

In a heartfelt post on X, she wrote:
