In a humorous Facebook post on Saturday, October 11, Queen said she eventually started questioning whether she was dating a man or running a cooperative society.

“I remember dumping one fine bobo because every week his mouth would start with, ‘Babe, abeg borrow me small 5k, I go pay you back next week,’” she wrote.

She explained that instead of repaying, her ex would borrow more money to offset the previous loan.

“One day, I just asked myself — Queen, are you dating a man or managing a cooperative society?” she added.

Queen said the man even turned affectionate chats into financial requests.

“If I text him ‘I miss you,’ he’ll reply, ‘I miss you too, but borrow me.’
If I post a fine picture, he’ll say, ‘My investor is glowing.’ Investor kee you there,” she joked.

According to her, when she finally broke up with him, he asked if it was because he was broke.

“I told him, ‘No o, I’m leaving you because I’m the one getting broke!’”

Queen concluded her post with a firm rule for the future:

“Since that day, I made a promise — if your first sentence starts with ‘borrow me,’ your last sentence will be ‘she blocked me.’”
