Speaking on the show Spill With Phyna, the Afrobeats queen discussed her past relationships, admitting she’s never cheated and has never broken up with a partner solely because of infidelity.

According to Tiwa, she only walks away from a relationship when serious issues such as theft or drug abuse are involved. She recalled experiences where people had indirectly stolen from her but emphasised that cheating, on its own, doesn’t justify ending a relationship.

The singer noted that when partners cheat, they often apologise and try to make amends — something she is usually open to accepting.

Tiwa further explained that her calm and private personality often makes it easy for partners to get away with cheating, as she prefers not to confront issues publicly.

In her words:

“No, never. And I have never left someone for cheating. I didn’t even leave him; he left me. Even when they cheat, they’ll come back and apologise. That’s not a dealbreaker for me. They get away with it because of my personality. I can’t come online to rant, and when I see them, I can’t react.”
