The Stadium of Light will host what promises to be one of the weekend’s most intense fixtures, with Sunderland riding a wave of confidence after securing a draw against Everton in their last outing. Arsenal, meanwhile, come off a comfortable win over Burnley and currently top the table with 25 points from 10 games.

Speaking on The Peter Crouch Podcast, the former England international expressed belief in Sunderland’s ability to cause an upset in front of their home fans.

“I think going there, the crowd will be up for it. The players, it is their cup final,” Crouch said.
“I need something big and I am going to go with Sunderland 1-0. I am willing to die on this sword.”

Sunderland currently occupy fourth place with 18 points and are unbeaten in four of their last five league matches, making them a formidable challenge for Mikel Arteta’s men.
