Governor’s Insider Reveals The Strategy Behind Mutfwang’s APC Shift

Istifanus Nwansat, the governor’s political adviser, made the revelation while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Monday.
He explained that Mutfwang’s planned defection aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s political and governance agenda at the national level.
Nwansat attributed the governor’s decision to the ongoing turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he said has made the platform an unviable option for political actors seeking to contest elections.
“After careful assessment of all available options, we have concluded that the safest and least risky move for us is to join the APC,” Nwansat said.
He added, “That is why the governor is moving into the APC. He believes it is both reasonable and strategic as a leader to bring his people in alignment with the President. While we remain appreciative of the PDP and its members, we recognize and commend Mr. President’s efforts in setting the nation on the right path.”
