How Mercy Johnson Avoided Yesterday’s Social Media Trolls As Nigerians Degraded Joke Silva Over  Tinubu Support Walk

• Yesterday, a Lagos Women Support walk was held for the ALL Progressive Congress (APC) presidential aspirant Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

• Videos of the women walking on the streets with banners, including professionals, market women, market traders, and celebrities, have become popular online.

• However Mercy Johnson on the other hand, who was dragged along side Joke Silva the day the campaign team list was released online was nowhere to be found at the event.

Despite not being the only celebrities on the team, the pair received the most online abuse from Nigerians once the lengthy roster was posted online.

Punch reports that the First Lady Aisha Buhari, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Hajiya Nana, the wife of the vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, led the pack as the ruling APC unveiled the makeup of the women’s campaign train on Independence Day.

Many others, however, voiced disappointment at Mercy Johnson and Joke Silva for joining the party and setting up camp.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a presidential candidate for the ALL Progressive Congress (APC), participated in a walk yesterday in support of him.

Women from various parts of the state organized a walk in support of Tinubu, Shettima, Sanwo Olu, and Hamzat, who are running for governor and deputy governor of Lagos State, respectively.

The solidarity walk continues in Tinubu Square in Lagos State.

Online videos showing professional women, market ladies, market traders, and celebrities carrying banners while roaming the streets have gained popularity.

Mercy Johnson, who was pulled along with Joke Silva the day the campaign team list was made public online, was not present at the event, on the other hand.
