A Nigerian human rights activist identified as Sarki B has narrated how he escaped death on his way back home after joining “Obidients” to rough handle Apapa.

On Wednesday, the national chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa in an attempt to speak to the press was booed by supporters of Peter Gregory Obi in the court vicinity. Hours later one of the supporters of Obi and a self-proclaimed human rights activist who was present at the attempted lynching took to his Twitter handle to narrate how he escaped death on his way home. He claimed he had a ghastly motor accident on his way to Lafia-Nasarawa State.

He wrote; “I cheated death today. I left Abuja after making sure Apapa Lamidi collect wotowoto at the court. On my way to Lafia-Nasarawa State I had an accident. My car is just beyond repair. I thank God I came out alive.”

Social Media Critic, Reno Omokri reacted to the his claims, “Yesterday, on television, before our very eyes, Lamidi Apapa cursed those who mobbed him outside the Presidential Election Petition Court. A few hours later this happened. Maybe it is a coincidence.”
