The factional Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nafi’u Bala, has refuted reports claiming he expressed regret over his involvement in the party’s internal crisis.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to the disputed reports, Bala was alleged to have said he did not foresee the extent of the fallout from the party’s internal disagreements, adding that the situation had spiralled beyond control. He was also quoted as saying, “I regret my role in the ADC crisis. I did not know it would reach this level. My life is in danger.”
However, in a statement released on Sunday, Bala described the publication as false, malicious, and deliberately aimed at damaging his reputation.
He clarified that he neither granted any interview nor authorised anyone to speak on his behalf regarding the internal affairs of the party.
Bala maintained that his actions within the ADC have followed due process, especially after the resignation of the former National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, on July 2, 2025.
He further dismissed claims that he had expressed regret or sought to distance himself from the party’s leadership crisis.
“I have not instructed anyone, including the individual mentioned in the publication, to speak on my behalf. Such claims should be disregarded,” he said.
