In an interview with Broadway TV, he revealed that the decision was intentional, as he wanted to fully concentrate on building his career in the movie industry without distractions.

According to him, during his time working in Asaba, he devoted all his energy to acting and professional growth, believing that a relationship at that stage could have slowed him down due to emotional distractions.

Zubby clarified that his choice was not based on any negative perception of women, but rather on timing and discipline as he worked to establish himself in the industry.

He noted that relationships often come with emotional responsibilities that can affect focus and productivity if not properly managed.

At that point in his life, he said it was more important to stay focused on his goals and avoid anything that could derail his progress.

The actor added that his situation has now changed, as he is more stable and has achieved personal milestones, including owning a house, which has made him more open to love and relationships.

He stated: “I’ve been scared of women, I’ve been working hard but now I want to give it a chance. Since I dey work I no… cause it can destroy this thing. Maybe had it been I get girlfriend I fit no reach here. Cause if you disturb me mentally it will affect my work. As I dey put all my mind for film, if woman come now and we come get problem, I fit dey set I go dey think about am, e go dey affect me.
