Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has taken a swipe at the African Democratic Congress over the defection of former presidential candidate Peter Obi.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement released on Thursday, Keyamo used a metaphor to criticise the ADC, likening the situation to a suitor who failed to secure commitment from a valued partner and is now expressing frustration after her departure.

He suggested that Obi, in his analogy, represents someone who understood his own value and quietly moved on to another political platform that offered clearer assurances and a more defined role.

Keyamo described the scenario as one where a suitor refused to offer full commitment, only to lose out to another who did so immediately, adding that such a situation should not attract complaints after the decision had already been made.

He argued that political choices come with consequences, implying that parties must be willing to make firm commitments if they want to retain influential figures.

The minister’s remarks were widely interpreted as a critique of the ADC’s handling of high-profile political interests and its internal positioning ahead of future elections.
