In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday evening, Stanley Ontop recounted what he described as the circumstances surrounding the situation, alleging that Ekubo underwent a liver transplant but later suffered complications.

He further claimed that the condition reportedly worsened after the transplant, leading to a decline in health.

Stanley, who described himself as a close associate, also stated that the actor’s remains had been taken to the morgue, while urging the public to avoid spreading unverified information regarding the cause of the illness.

He wrote that Ekubo was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in 2024, underwent treatment and a transplant, and briefly returned to work before complications allegedly resurfaced.

He added that the situation deteriorated over time, leading to what he described as his passing, while appealing for privacy and respect for the family.

He further urged the public to refrain from speculation, stressing that unverified claims should not be circulated and calling for calm and respect during the period of uncertainty.
