Speaking during an interview with Jay On-Air TV, the actress explained that the kissing and intimate scenes seen in films were simply part of their acting responsibilities and should not be interpreted as a real-life relationship.

According to Ogunmola, she initially viewed the scenes as nothing beyond scripted performances required for their roles, stressing that there was never any emotional attachment involved during filming.

However, she admitted that things became uncomfortable when social media users began speculating that she and Etim Effiong were romantically involved off-screen.

She described the rumours as false and unnecessary, maintaining that their relationship exists strictly within the boundaries of work.

Ogunmola further noted that Etim Effiong’s wife fully understands the demands of the acting profession and has never had issues with the movie scenes circulating online.

She explained that people close to actors often understand that films are fictional and should not be confused with reality.

“We only share those moments in movies,” she said. “Even his wife understands the nature of Daniel’s work and is not bothered by it. Unfortunately, some people started linking us romantically because of the scenes we acted together, but there is absolutely nothing happening outside work. We are simply colleagues.”

The actress also emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism in Nollywood, adding that audiences sometimes struggle to separate movie roles from real life.

“There are no hidden feelings or secret arrangements. We are professionals doing our jobs, and boundaries must always be respected in the industry,” she added.
